William James "Bill" Carney, age 63 of Indian Mound, TN, passed away at his residence on Sunday morning, August 14th, 2016. He was born December 7, 1952 in Hopkinsville, KY, the son of the late Charles J. Carney and Lois Lorene Shelton.
Bill was a truck driver for many years as well as being the owner and operator of Best Way Moving. He worked as a volunteer fireman for Indian Mound Fire Department, and then became a board member due to his declining health. Bill will be remembered for his fun loving nature.
He is survived by his wife Deborah Hobday Carney of Indian Mound; a son Brian Layton Shepherd & wife Lori, of Clarksville; a daughter Nichole Miller- Fritz of Indian Mound; brothers Dean Moody; Kenny Moody; and Donnie Moody; sisters Marie "Hope" Littlefield; Teressa Taylor; and Ann Smith; his step father Harold Smith as well as four grandchildren: Andrea Jolin, Charvel Groves, Justin Smith, Joby Smith,and two great- grandchildren Michelle and Gabriel Jolin. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother Ronnie Cook.
