Major (Ret) Vivian C. Fivecoat age 70 of Clarksville, passed away on Monday October 28, 2019 at Tennova Healthcare in Clarksville. She was born January 6, 1949 in Dragerton, Utah, the daughter of the late Jake Farlino and Darlene Stevenson Farlino. Vivian served her country in the U.S. Army for 20 years as a Registered Nurse. She retired with the rank of Major. Following her retirement from active duty she worked as a nurse in the emergency room at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital for many years until her retirement. Vivian is a member of the Roman Catholic Church. She was devoted to her work in the military and continued to be dedicated to serving veterans. She was proud to be a nurse and especially proud to have served in the military. She devoted much of her life to political efforts for veteran's rights. She was active in the formation of Veterans Day On The Hill. She was also the first woman to run for public office in Carbon County, Utah. She is survived by her daughter Stacy Fivecoat of Spring Valley, WI; and her son Antonio Fivecoat of Clarksville. Also surviving is a brother Jake Farlino of Idaho. She was blessed with a grandson Aaron Strickler of Spring Valley, WI; and a great granddaughter Makinna Strickler of Spring Valley, WI. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a brother Earl Farlino and two grandchildren, Brea Atkinson and Payton Atkinson. A celebration of Vivian's life with military honors will be held on Wednesday November 6, 2019 at the chapel of Gateway Funeral Home at 4:00 P.M. Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a college fund for great granddaughter Makinna or to the veteran organization of the donors choice.
