Victoria Hampton

Victoria Hampton age 89 of Clarksville, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday February 7, 2019 at the Spring Meadows Nursing Home. She was born June 27, 1929 in Hopkinsville, KY the daughter of the late Urey Sylvester Gilliland and Georgia Victoria Boze Gilliland. Victoria is a member of the Clarksville Church of God of Prophecy. She was employed for many years with Jostens and she was devoted to her family.

She is survived by her daughters Peggy Lynn Batson of Clarksville; and Teressa Jinnette (Donald Bradley) of Clarksville; sons Robert Iley Hampton Jr. (Diane) of Charlotte, TN; and Kenneth William Hampton of Clarksville. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, Chris Hampton (Regina); Michael Hampton (Jessica); Regina Hampton (Jeremy); Anna Hobson (Nathan); Jessica Williams (Rocky); Robert R. Hampton; Robyne Hebert; and Eric Jinnette. She is also survived by 7 great grandchildren.

Victoria is preceded in death by her husband Robert Iley Hampton Sr. who passed away in 1995; as well as three sons Donald Wilson Hampton; Ronald Wayne Hampton; and Walter Glynn Hampton. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday February 9, 2019 at 12 noon at the Gateway Funeral Home with her grandson Chris Hampton and Bishop Mike Burton officiating. Burial will follow at Mallory's Cemetery in Chapmansboro, TN. Visitation will be on Saturday from 10 A.M. until the time of services. Her sons and grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
