Thelma Edith Torres

Thelma Edith Felts Torres, age 90, of Panama City Beach, FL passed away on Monday, September 12, 2022, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on October 31, 1931, in White House, TN to the late Oscar Norman Felts and Daltha Fanny Dowlen Felts. During high school, Thelma enjoyed playing basketball. She also loved bowling when she was younger. Thelma adored her family and took much pleasure in caring for them. Thelma was a fantastic cook.

Left to cherish her memory is her brother, Thomas E. Felts of Gainseville, FL; daughters: Pamela (Ray) Torres Woolery and Debra (Marty) Torres Charlier of Panama City Beach, FL; her son, Michael P. Torres, Anne Smedley of Foley, AL; grandson, Christopher J. Goddard, Panama City Beach, FL; granddaughter, Derice Charlier Steele, Denver of Stafford, Virginia, 7 great-grandchildren and numerous other cousins and family members who have been very involved in her life and loved by her.

In addition to her parents, Thelma is preceded in death by her husband, Ferman J. "Yogi" Torres; grandson, Jon J. Burke Woolery, and two brothers, Robert Felts and Nathan Felts.

A funeral service will be held at the chapel at Resthaven Memorial Gardens on Thursday, September 15, 2022, at 1:00 P.M., with Pastor John Mark Thomas officiating. Burial will take place immediately after the service at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
