Shirley Kay Calvert

Shirley Kay Calvert, age 76, died December 26, 2020, at Tennova Healthcare in Clarksville, TN. Shirley was born on April 21, 1944, to Joe M. Calvert and Alice Oreta Calvert of Moberly, MO.

Shirley served in the Navy and Naval Reserves. She retired after more than 35 years in Civil Service, where she won numerous awards for the development and management of computerized data systems, including the 1997 VP Hammer Award. Shirley moved to Clarksville in 2000 after her retirement and became active in many community activities. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church.

Shirley is survived by her brother, Terry Lee Calvert (Angeline), and several nephews, nieces, great and great-great nephews, and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Ms. Jo Ann Calvert.

Shirley’s ashes will be interred at Louisville Memorial Gardens, Louisville, KY where a memorial service will be held at a later date. It is requested that all donations or contributions be made to the American Heart Association or the ASPCA.
