Sherie Lynn Sykes

Sherie Lynn Sykes, age 63 of Adams, passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at Tennova Healthcare.

Sherie was born on May 18, 1959 in Hollister, CA to the late William Hoagland and Lucy Jimenez Hoagland. She is survived by her mother, Lucy Hoagland; husband, Raymond C. Sykes; brother, William Hoagland; uncle, Pete (Julia) Jimenez; aunts, Rafael Barker, Isabel Wilson; mother -in-law, Edna Sykes; sister-in-law, Colleene Sykes; nephew, Anthony Revelles; and nieces, Taylor and Vanessa.  

Sherie was a devoted Navy Wife and was a fan of anything Confederate. She was a devoted reenactor, participating in Daughters in Dixie, Porters Battery and Southern Bells. 

A Memorial gathering will be held on Friday, June 17th, 2022 from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Gateway Funeral Home.
