Shawn Renee Moore, Sr.

Shawn Renee Moore, Sr., age 50, of Clarksville, TN passed away on Friday, August 28, 2020, in Joplin, MO. He was born on September 19, 1969, in Cairo, IL to the late Calvin Lowe and Annie Bessie Moore. Shawn was employed with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) and worked as a journey lineman for several years. Apart from work, Shawn had many hobbies including dancing, barbecuing, playing cards, shopping for clothes, playing pool, traveling and most importantly spending time with his family and close friends.

Shawn's memory will forever be cherished by his loving wife of 27 years, Lovie Moore; his sons, Demeatrice Autrey and Shawn Moore, Jr.; his siblings, Freda Godette (Darrell), Desara Pruitt (Bennie), Shelly Brison (Terry), Anissa Lowe, Fred Martin (Rochelle), Tyrus Davis, and Terrance Johnson; his in-laws, Paul Lambert (Bessie), Chermaine Lambert (Aaron), Carlton Ayers (Rochelle), Sharonne Lambert; Richard Lewis (Ann), LaToya Lewis, Nichole Lewis; his aunt, Charlsetta Johnson (Donald), Donald Johnson Jr., and Adren James and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Special Family Friends; Robert Nelson (Lydia), Benjamin Nelson (Zachara), David Nelson, Safari Nelson, Scott Miller, Willis Brown, John Jones Sr (Trish), Leroy Gayle, LaTonia Wills, Irish Gray Jones (Vicent), NeCarla Gayle (Robert), Stan Bing (Tajuana), Kofi Smith (Angel), Kuru Weathers (Melody), and Tabbatha Stamps. In addition to his parents, Shawn is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Bessie Moore, and his paternal grandmother, Bessie Nichols.

A funeral service for Shawn will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at 12:00 P.M. at Gateway Funeral Home. Visitation on Saturday will begin at 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service. A visitation will also take place on Friday, September 11, 2020 at Gateway Funeral Home from 3:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery after the funeral service on Saturday.
