Rosario Martinez Alemany

Rosario Martinez Alemany, age 55 of Clarksville peacefully passed away on Sunday May 5, 2019 at her home. She was born to Mariana R. Schmidt and the late Alturo Martinez on April 27, 1964, in Santurce, Puerto Rico. Rosario graduated from Academia Bautista de Puerto Nuevo (Puerto Nuevo Baptist High School) in 1981 and went on to college to become a Registered Nurse.

Rosario was a loving mother and homemaker. She loved cooking, reading, and had a love for animals, especially her two dogs. She also loved old TV shows like the Golden Girls and Dallas, as well as watching anything on the Food Network and HGTV.

Rosario always loved being a mother but her truest treasures in life came with the arrivals of her grandchildren. More than anything she loved being an abuela (grandma), they were the light of her life and she cherished every single moment with them.

She is survived by her mother; Mariana R. Schmidt of Knoxville, her two daughters; Mia Crowder (Joshua) of Walland, TN and Flordalyris Alemany of Clarksville. She is also survived by her 3 beautiful grandchildren; Aurora Crowder, John Arryn Crowder, and Alexander Crowder of Walland, TN. Also surviving are her two sisters, Yolanda Santiago - Rivas of Jacksonville, FL and Mariana Santiago-Rivas of Puerto Rico.

Rosario is preceded in death by her father.

She is always going to be remembered as a loving mother and abuela. She is forever in our hearts and is going to be dearly missed.

There will be a memorial service at a later date in Knoxville, TN.
