Robert R. "Bobby" Ross, Sr.

Robert R. Ross Sr. age 87 of Clarksville passed away Sunday Sept. 20, 2015 at Spring Meadows Health Care Center. He was born October 17, 1927 in Stewart County, TN, the son of the late Wayne Ross and Mary Katherine Taylor Ross.

Bobby had worked for over 30 years as an appliance repairman at Perkins & Miller Appliance and International Harvester Dealer. Bobby was a Christian and a devoted family man who loved his family. He is a former member of the Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by a son, Robert R. Ross Jr. & Marilyn of Clarksville; a daughter Judy Kay Clausius & David of Oak Grove, KY; 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild with one on the way. He is also survived by a brother in law Charles D. Akin and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Chloe Jean Akin Ross to whom he was married for over 50 years until her passing in 2006. He is also preceded in death by a brother W.C. Ross and a sister Martha Johnson.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday September 23, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at the Chapel of Gateway Funeral Home with Brother James Shepherd officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of services. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
