Robert Wayne Lamkin

Robert Wayne Lamkin, age 63, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on March 11, 2022 at Tristar Skyline in Nashville. He was born August 4, 1958 in Rosenberg, TX.  Robert served his country in the US Army for 16  years.  He worked at the Montgomery County Jail in the maintenance department.  Earlier in his life he had done factory work and had been a truck driver.  Robert was a devoted member of First Assembly of God.  His ministry was in driving the church van.  He was devoted to his family, and he enjoyed cooking for others.  He loved people and was the life of the party.  Left to cherish his memory is his wife Sheila Mullins Lamkin of Clarksville; his daughters Shellatter Chambers (Sekai) of Clarksville and Marquita Lamkin of Clarksville; his sons Isley Mullins (Pamela) of Clarksville and Robert Lamkin Jr. of Clarksville.  Robert was blessed with six grandchildren: Marquis Mullins (deceased), Mahleke Chambers, Miya Chambers, Kiyana Lamkin, Macailah Mullins, and Micah Mullins.  Robert was one of 10 children.  His siblings include John Edward Lamkin, Raymond Earl Lamkin, Mildred Ann Dixson, Mary Delilah Hill, Stella Cobbin,  Princella “Penny” Jackson, Peggie Perry, Sharon Kay McClain and Gloria “Glory” Jones.  Memorial services for Robert will be conducted on Saturday March 19, 2022 at 2:00 PM at the First Assembly of God located at 1186 Fort Campbell Blvd in Clarksville.  Pastor Louie Montoya will officiate.  Visitation will be for the hour prior to services.  Arrangements are under the care of Gateway Funeral Home and Cremation Center  335 Franklin Street  Clarksville, TN  37040.  Phone 931-919-2600.  Online condolences may be made by going to www.gatewayfh.com.
