Robert Allen Fields

Robert Allen Fields, age 79, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Monday February 21, 2022 at St. Thomas West in Nashville.  He was born May 30, 1942 in Masontown, West Virginia, the son of the late Harold M. Fields and Clara M. Wolfe. Robert served on the Clarksville Fire Department for 25 years, retiring in 1991 as a Lieutenant.  During his time on the fire department, his part time job was as a house painter.  He is a member of Hilldale Baptist Church.  He enjoyed mowing grass and taking care of his beloved dog, Lexi.  Survivors include his son Chris Fields (Laurie) of Clarksville and sisters Joyce Marie LaFlamme of Gaithersburg, MD, Betty Goodowen of Adams, TN, and Barbara Harrison of Clarksville, as well as several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers Harold M. Fields, Jr, William F. Fields, and James P. Fields.  Funeral services for Robert will be conducted on Friday February 25, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Gateway Funeral Home with Pastor David Fambrough officiating.  Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be on Friday at the funeral home from 11:00 AM until the time of services.
