Phyllis O. Turner

April 4, 1943 — August 3, 2022

Phyllis O. Turner

Our Mom, Phyllis O. Turner, age 79, of Clarksville, TN passed away peacefully on August 3, 2022, at AHC of Clarksville with her daughter by her side. She was born on April 4, 1943, in Clarksville, TN to the late Ed Long and Evelyn Mae Knight. They later divorced and her mother married the late Jesse Bowers (Papa to us) who became the greatest gift of all; an amazing father and grandpa to all of us.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Julie (Rick) Louck; her brother, Wayne (Carolyn) Reynolds, brother-in-law, Ray Roby; sister, Molly (Ricky) Brock; grandchildren, Dylan Chalker, Amanda Green, Jesse Cerda, Alaina Cerda, Faith Cerda, Renee (Mark) Vucko, Ryan Louck, great grandchildren; Lily Fogelsong, Haley Vucko, Abby Vucko, Anastasia Ellis, Kyle Looney, Danielle (Cody) Heath, great-great-granddaughters; Mackenzie and Olivia Heath, as well as her cherished nieces and nephews, Jesse (Susan) Reynolds, Mary Evelyn (Shane) Williams, Tammy (Troy) Jones, Christy(Albert) Casillas, and Bryan Brock.

Phyllis's most treasured achievements in her life were her kids, grandchildren and her family. My mom wore many hats and was a bit of a rebel in her time, loving life, working many different jobs and finally retiring from Walmart after 20 years. She loved taking care of everyone, had a quick witted sense of humor, and was an amazing cook with a very creative side. We will always remember the sound of her laugh and the beautiful smile she had. She was an inspiration to everyone who knew her despite her most private health difficulties as she endured a surgery she needed more than 50 years ago to survive. However, at the conclusion of her journey, she bravely battled dementia. In life she was a warrior over and over again. Mom will forever be in our hearts, forever loved, and forever missed. In addition to her parents, Phyllis is preceded in death by her husband, James Robert Turner; her daughter, Angela Faye Rhoads; her sister, Rosemary Roby; and her grandson, James Joshua Green.

Our final good bye to our angel will be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at 2:00 P.M under the small pavilion at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West, 5817 Fort Campbell Blvd, Hopkinsville, KY 42240, where she will share eternity with her husband.
