Pedro Antonio Marte Baez

Pedro Antonio Marte Baez, age 69, passed away at his residence in Clarksville, TN on Sunday, January 23, 2022. Pedro was born in the Dominican Republic on March 8, 1952, to the late Idelfonso and Ereminda Marte. Pedro loved being in the kitchen. He loved to cook. He was also known as the life of the party. He was a true pro at bowling and of the game, dominos. Pedro enjoyed to dance. Pedro loved people. He would give the shirt of his back to anyone in need. Pedro loved to shower his wife, Mery with flowers. He also adored his grandchildren; they were his world. Pedro’s family will remember him as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 42 years, Mery Marte of Clarksville, TN; sons, Jabal Marte (Eva) of PA, Eric Burrell (Justina) of NY, Pedro Anthony Marte of NY, Pedro Marte Jr and Pedro Wesley Marte; daughter, Sheila Marte-Galarza (Jose) of Clarksville, TN; brothers, Ramon Marte (Olga) of NY, Francisco Marte of FL, Alejandro Marte of NY and Alex Marte (Kevon Mitchell) of FL; sister, Regina Marte of NY. Pedro is also survived by grandchildren, Carly Marte, Mia Burrell, Elijah Alvarez, Jaydian Galarza, Makeila Galarza and one on the way.

In addition to his parents, Pedro is preceded in death by brothers, Sixto Marte and Marcelo Marte.

There will be a memorial service for Mr. Pedro on Friday, February 11, 2022, at 6:00 P.M at Gateway Funeral Home & Cremation Center. A visitation will be held at 4:00 P.M. until the time of service. Pastor Tommy Vallejos will be officiating.
