Nancy Sue Spurlock

Nancy Sue Spurlock age 78 of Adams, TN, passed away on Saturday January 27, 2018 at the Waters of Robertson in Springfield, TN. She was born on May 21, 1939 in Montgomery County, TN the daughter of the late James Herald and Margaret Wall Herald. Nancy had worked at various assembly jobs throughout the years and had retired from Peterbilt in Nashville. She is a member of Red River Baptist Church and had also attended Vultee Blvd Church of Christ in Nashville. She was a Civitan member and enjoyed making dolls and vegetable and flower gardening. She is survived by daughters Vickie Ann Spurlock of Adams; and Rhonda Darlene Mulcahy of Cedar Hill, TN; and a son Michael J. Spurlock of Provincetown, MA. She is also survived by brothers Robert Sidney Herald of Southside, TN; Edward Herald of Clarksville, TN ; and Dean Herald of Clarksville; as well as a sister Eula Mae Kendall of Southside, TN. Also surviving are two grandchildren, James Michael Mulcahy (Emily) of Cedar Hill, TN; and Matthew J. Mulcahy (Jaclyn) of Spring Hill, TN. and one great granddaughter Kylie Ann Mulcahy of Spring Hill, TN and her special friend, Sunny Cavender. In addition to her parents, Nancy is preceded in death by her husband J.B. Spurlock who passed away on March 6, 1980. She is also preceded by her brothers Billy Joe Herald and Raymond Herald and sisters Elizabeth Cunningham and Charlotte Herald. Visitation with the family will be Monday, January 29, 2018 from 4-8pm and Tuesday, January 30, 2018 from, 11am-1pm at Gateway Funeral Home. Funeral service for Mrs. Spurlock will be Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at 1:00pm at Gateway Funeral Home conducted by Pastor Eric Taylor. Interment will follow at the Bellwood Cemetery in Adams, TN.
