Michael Joseph Richter age 61 of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Wednesday March 3, 2021 at Tennova Healthcare in Clarksville. He was born April 22, 1959 in Glendale, CA, the son of the late Charles Richter and Mary Regina Rosenthal Richter. Michael had worked as an over the road truck driver for several years before becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant. He worked in that field for many years and upon moving to the Clarksville area in 2018 he worked at Ahava and Spring Meadows Nursing Homes. Michael served his country in the US Air Force. Michael was an accomplished artist in paints and pencil. He has won awards for his pencil drawings in competitions in Denver. He was also an accomplished musician in classical trumpet and as a vocalist. Much of his life was spent in Colorado, Idaho, and Washington State. He was involved in the music programs at several churches while living in those areas. While in Clarksville, he attended Life Point Church. He is survived by his wife Doreen Andrus Richter of Clarksville; his daughter Michaela Richter Wagner; step children Joshua Black, Patrick Black, Vanessa Ray, and Chantel Brown as well as his granddaughter Violet Wagner and step grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Curtis Richter. In keeping with Michael’s wishes, there will be no public funeral services.
