Michael "Mike" McHugh

Michael John McHugh, age 69 passed away at his home on Saturday, July 16th, 2016 in Clarksville, TN. He was born on July 16, 1947 in Joliet, IL to the late Leslie McHugh and Helen Crater Knight. Mr. McHugh served his country in the U.S. Army and he is a retired veteran.

He was known as an avid hunter and fisherman. Mike was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

He is survived by his wife, Rebecca McHugh; daughters, Tammi (Danny) Blackburn and Staci (Dan) Quarles; grandchildren, Michael (Karli) and Rylie Blackburn, Victoria, Jackson and Jonathan Quarles; great grandchild, Nash Blackburn; brothers, Danny (Pat) McHugh, Pat (Jeanette) McHugh; half sisters, Sandy (Thomas) Moore, Lee (Norman) Sizemore; half brother, Jerry Robin Knight; step sisters, Cheryl (Frank) Chellino, Sue (John) Jones; step brother, David (Beth) Adams.

Memorial services will be conducted on Monday, July 25, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at the Kentucky Veteran Cemetery West in Hopkinsville, KY with full military honors. Visitation will be held at Gateway Funeral Home on Sunday, July 24, 2016 from 4 until 8 P.M.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be sent to the American Lung Association at1 Vantage Way, Nashville, TN 37228 in his name.
