Mary B. Heckman age 79 of Clarksville passed away on Thursday August 24, 2017 at Tennova Healthcare. She was born October 29, 1937 in Boonville, Missouri the daughter of Marvin and Irene Young Bishop. Mary had been employed as a secretary with the ASC office, Brown Shoe Company, and Henry County Medical Center. She enjoyed reading and cooking but was primarily devoted to her family. She is survived by her husband Ray F. Heckman to whom she has been married 57 years; a son Marcus Ray Heckman & Bonnie of Clarksville; and a grand daughter Courtney Heckman. She is also survived by brothers Joe Bishop of Franklin, MO; , David Bishop of Boonville, MO, Nathan Bishop of Boonville, MO, and Mick Bishop of New Franklin, MO; and sisters Terry Bonicamp of Boonville, MO; and Diane Simmons of New Franklin, MO. She is also survived by step children Sandy Heckman, Thad Heckman, and Cindy Voorhis and step grandchildren Jennifer Wilson, Kyle Heckman, Asa Heckman, Melanie Jergens, Sierra Heckman, and Melinda Reeve. She is also survived by brother in law Jim Twitchell and sisters in law Jerri Waibel Bishop and Dobi Kyle Bishop all of Boonville, MO and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Mary is preceded in death by brothers John, George, and Bob Bishop and a sister Ilene Twitchell. Funeral services will be conducted at 5 P.M. Sunday August 27, 2017 at the chapel of Gateway Funeral Home. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
