Martha Jean Shearon Rogers, 79, Jacksonville, FL, passed away Friday September 11, 2015 at Anne and Donald McGraw Center for Caring, FL . Visitation will be held at 12 noon until the hour of service Wednesday September 16, 2015 at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Clarksville, TN, Funeral service 1:00pm with Reverend Jerry Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens cemetery. Martha Jean was born in Clarksville, October 17, 1935, daughter of the late Charlie and Lela Shearon. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin G. Rogers, sister, Lucille Powers, brother, Bryant Shearon, sister, Ruby Bumpus, sister Nancy Wade, sister, Dorothy Murphy. She is survived by her daughters, Duwana Bales (John), of Marietta, GA, Yulanda Rogers of Jacksonville, FL, two granddaughters, Tonya Jennings (Joey) of Marietta, GA, Vanessa Bales of Carrollton, TX, two great-grandchildren, Rachel Dennington (Grant), Jacob Jennings, two great- great grandsons, Nash Dennington and Waylon Dennington, and many loving nieces and nephews. She is tremendously loved by all who knew her and will be missed immensely.
