Marlan L. Beaston

Marlan L. Beaston, age 84, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Thursday June 17, 2021 at Ahava Healthcare in Clarksville.  She was born April 14, 1937 in Savanna, IL, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Viola May Haring. Marlan had worked various jobs during her lifetime and was known as a hard worker.  Her most recent job was as a caregiver at a home for boys.  She loved gardening, flea marketing and the outdoors.  She is survived by her son Jim Beaston (Mavis Knight); her daughters Kathy Pino, Cheryl Lyman, and Patty Knight.  She is also survived by her sister Shirley Rushton (Hugh) of Clarksville as well as five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years Lawrence Beaston and brothers Merle Haring, Artie Green, Allen Green, David Green, Jerry Green, and her sister Marjorie Haring.  Funeral services for Mrs. Beaston will be conducted on Wednesday June 23, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Gateway Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be for the hour prior to services.  Arrangements are under the care of Gateway Funeral Home and Cremation Center  335 Franklin Street  Clarksville, TN  37040.  Phone 931-919-2600.  Online condolences may be made by going to www.gatewayfh.com.
