Luther Forrest Jenkins

Luther Forrest Jenkins, age 74, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Monday September 13, 2021 at Tennova Healthcare in Clarksville, TN.  He was born April 21, 1947 in Clarksville, the son of the late Cecil Buck Jenkins and Gertie Mae Taggart Jenkins.  Luther worked for many years at Acme Boot until its closing.  He enjoyed fishing and hunting and over the years had worked on and restored many classic cars.  He is survived by his wife Mary Yarbrough Jenkins; his sons Steve Jenkins (Misty) of Clarksville and Brian Jenkins of Clarksville.  He is also survived by brothers Roger Jenkins, Cecil Jenkins, Greg Jenkins, and Bernie Jenkins and sisters Debbie Rittenberry and Cathy Nelson as well as four grandchildren Brody Jenkins, Brook Williams, Paige Williams, and Madison Williams as well as one great grandchild.  In addition to his parents, Luther is preceded in death by a daughter Crystal Williams and brothers David Jenkins and Marvin Jenkins and sisters Sandra Thompson and Dorothy Ann Farley.  There are no public funeral services planned at this time.  Arrangements are under the care of Gateway Funeral Home and Cremation Center  335 Franklin Street  Clarksville, TN  37040.  Phone 931-919-2600.  Online condolences may be made by going to www.gatewayfh.com.
