Linda Sue Honeycutt passed away at the age of 66 on Monday, April 3, 2017 at her residence in Charlotte, TN. She was born in Erin, TN on September 6, 1950 to the late Vernon B. Claxton and Edith May Schmittou Black. Mrs. Honeycutt held a very strong work ethic. It was important to her that she be able to provide for her family. She was most recently employed at Cracker Barrel in West Nashville where she worked for many years. Her family describes her as "the sweetest woman in the world".
Mrs. Honeycutt is survived by one son, Jerry Honeycutt II and his fianc Jennifer Earps from Ashland City, TN; three daughters, Michelle Simmons Scott) from Ashland City, Kelly Lee from Ashland City, and Danielle Reeves from Charlotte, TN; two brothers, James Claxton from McComb, IL and Michael Black from Ashland City; one sister, Lawanda Schlag (Bob) from Pond Eddy, NY; and five grandchildren, John and Joshua McQuiston, Jacob and Trevor Honeycutt, and Michael Miner. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her best friend and the father of her children, Jerry Honeycutt; two sisters, Shirley Claxton and Doris Claxton; and one grandson, Joseph Honeycutt.
A Memorial Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Boyd Funeral Home 101 Elizabeth Street, Ashland City, TN. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 4:30 p.m. until the time of service.
