Kenneth Futrell

Kenneth R. "Kenny" Futrell age 60 of Dover passed away at his home on Saturday July 16, 2016. Kenny would like to let you know that his work here is done. He received a call, a sort of an offer you can't refuse, for an appointment from which he will not be returning. This assignment comes with a huge sign on bonus, a reunion with family, friends, and his beloved black lab Cole, he has not seen in a long time. Job security is exactly 110%. His new mission takes him to a wonderful place where he will be hunting, fishing, stoking a bon fire, and playing outside. Music, laughter, and love are guaranteed. Food is delicious and you never gain an ounce. He left detailed instructions for Kim and his family to celebrate his mission here which has now been completed.

He was born September 12, 1955 in Cadiz, KY, the son of Virginia Stallons Futrell of Dover and the late Robert Futrell Jr. He was employed for the past 9 years as a hardwood lumber inspector with McCraw Lumber Company of Cadiz. Previously he had been employed for 16 years with Averitt Lumber Co. in Clarksville.

He is survived by his wife Kim Belcher Futrell to whom he was married July 26, 1980 in Carlisle, TN. He is also survived by his sister Janie Cunningham & husband Jerry of Dover, TN; a niece Jill Lyons and a nephew Johnny Cunningham as well as 4 great nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, August 6th at 12:00 p.m. at the Sanctuary Church 2226 Donalson Parkway, Dover, TN. Memorial contributions may be made to the church or the local humane society.
