Jung Jo Yim

Jung Jo Yim age 76 of Clarksville, passed away on Thursday July 12, 2018 at his residence. He was born April 20, 1942 in Seoul, Korea. He came to the United States in 1976 and to Clarksville in 2001. He is a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and was a devoted husband and father. He was an instructor in Taekwondo and also had a store and deli. He and his wife later owned and operated a restaurant. He often volunteered his time to teach self defense classes. Survivors include his wife Ok Cha "Monica"Chong Yim of Clarksville; a daughter Kyong Yim of Seattle, WA; and a son Thomas Yim ( Chong Hee) of Kansas. Also surviving are four grandchildren Sunny, Danny, Michelle, and Matthew Yim. The Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted on Tuesday July 17, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Clarksville. There will be a time of visitation for the hour prior to services at the church. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
