Judith Ann Westervelt

Judith Ann Westervelt, age 81, of Clarksville, TN, formerly of the Colonie, NY area, passed away at her residence on December 22, 2021.  She was born February 25, 1940 in Albany, NY.  While living in Colonie, Judy was associated with Oakwood Presbyterian Church and Our Savior Lutheran Church.  She loved Jesus and was a patriotic person.  She loved camping and going to the beach.  Judy had a servants heart and was a selfless person who wanted to leave the world in a better place.  For many years she had worked at Sears in Albany, NY.  Left to cherish her memory is her husband Charles J. Westervelt to whom she was married in 1958.  She is also survived by her son Charles Paul Westervelt of Guilderland, NY and her daughter Lori Ann Duffy (Karl) of Clarksville.  Also surviving is a sister Kathy Nealon of California.  Judy is blessed with five grandchildren, Kristina Westervelt, Karla Velez, Sabrina Kulvanish, Lorissa Dias, and Felicia Westervelt.  Also surviving are nine great grandchildren, Gabriella, Kelsey, Cameron, Christian, Brayden, Xander, Jace, Coleson, and Laura.  She is preceded in death by her mother Loretta Vincent Davis and her sister Geraldine Garrett.  There are no public funeral services planned.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Judes Children’s Hospital.  Arrangements are under the care of Gateway Funeral Home and Cremation Center  335 Franklin Street  Clarksville, TN  37040.  Phone 931-919-2600.  Online condolences may be made by going to www.gatewayfh.com.
