Joyce Sinclair

Brenda Joyce Sinclair went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 2nd, 2018. She was born in Crab Orchard, KY on December 12th, 1941, and lived very modestly with her two brothers, Marvin and Stan Saylor, who preceded her in death.

She received her teaching degree from Eastern Kentucky University and her Masters of Fine Arts in Education from Western Kentucky University. Her last years of teaching Spanish and English were at Russellville High and Logan County High in Kentucky, where she made a lasting impression on her students and co-workers. She will be missed by her loving Christian family at Hilldale Church of Christ where she encouraged others with homemade cards and served continually through her many ministries and leading ladies Bible class for over 20 years.

She leaves behind three children Chris Sinclair (Jan), Eric Sinclair (Kim), and Carrie Harris (Steve); grandchildren Lee, Heather, Jordan and Devon Sinclair; Kade, Mason and Jon Evan Sinclair; and Austin Harris.

Joyce will be joining her Christian husband, Gerald Sinclair in heaven where there will be no more pain or tears. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, wife, and most importantly as a Christian woman.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 7th, at 3:00 p.m. at the Hilldale Church of Christ, 501 Highway 76 in Clarksville. Interment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will begin on Friday, April 6th, from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Gateway Funeral Home, and again on Saturday, from 2:00 until time of service at the church.
