John E. Rye

John E. Rye age 76 of Palmyra, passed away at his residence on Saturday May 12, 2018. He was born May 9, 1942 in Montgomery County, the son of the late Alvin and Sarah Rye. He had worked during his life as a self employed carpenter and in construction. He is a member of the Church of God of Prophecy. He enjoyed restoring antique cars. John is survived by his wife Dianne Herrington Rye of Palmyra; sons John E. Rye of Murfreesboro and Samuel Rye of Washington State; a daughter Angel Cole (James) of Clarksville; brothers James Rye of Clarksville and Ben Rye of Erin, TN; as well as several grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by brothers Richard, Les, Herman, Charlie Ray, and Robert Rye and a sister Annie Pearl McClendon. In keeping with John's wishes, there are no public services planned. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with the expenses.
