John David Aldridge

John David Aldridge

John David Aldridge age 65 of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Sunday February 14, 2021 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.  He was born March 1, 1955 in Clarksville and has been a lifelong resident.  David is 1973 a graduate of Northwest High School.  He has been the owner and operator of Aldridge Plumbing for over 30 years.  David was a person who loved life, but most importantly he loved his family and friends.  He was an avid hunter and he loved classic cars and classic rock music.  He enjoyed travel, playing golf, and playing cards with friends as well as going to the boat..  He played hard but worked even harder.  David had a big giving heart, always willing to help others and never placed judgement.  He is making heaven a funnier place.  Left to cherish his memory is his wife Rebecca G. Harris  Aldridge of Clarksville; his daughters Stephanie Lanham (Robert) ; Amanda Fields (Brad); his sons J.B. Aldridge (Sheryle) and Jesse Aldridge (Stephanie) all of whom reside in Clarksville.  David is blessed with eight grandchildren, Aslyn Aldridge, Kaydence Aldridge, Kenna Aldridge, Noah Lanham, Brody Lanham, John Holden Lanham, Dean Fields, and Jolee Fields.  A celebration of David’s life will be conducted on Saturday February 20, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at Gateway Funeral Home.  Visitation with the family will be on Friday February 19, 2021 from 4-6 P.M. at the funeral home and on Saturday from 11 AM until the time of services.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Cutaneous Lymphoma Foundation at www.CLFoundation.org.  Arrangements are under the care of Gateway Funeral Home and Cremation Center  335 Franklin Street  Clarksville, TN  37040.  Phone 931-919-2600.  Online condolences may be made by going to www.gatewayfh.com.
