Joanne Aszli;age 79; of Adams, TN, formerly of Bethlehem, PA, passed away on Saturday February 11, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born November 13, 1937 in Allentown, PA, the daughter of the late Nick Chudyk and Mary Jaramchak Chudyk. Joanne's parents were immigrants from Ukraine. Joanne had lived most of her life in Pennsylvania until moving to Tennessee to live with her daughter in August of 2016. She had worked for 35 years with Macy's starting in sales in the cosmetics department and retiring as a bookkeeper. In her earlier years she was employed as a keypunch operator for Mack Trucks in Allentown. She had served as a Deaconess with the First Presbyterian Church in Bethlehem and had resided in Bethlehem at the Lutheran Manor for several years. She had volunteered for the American Cancer Society, LARK, Whiley House and served as secretary for the Junior Women's Club of Bethlehem. She was involved in the theater and was an accomplished Ukrainian dancer. She was devoted and generous to her children and grandchildren. She is survived by a son William Aszli (Kimberly) of Bethlehem, PA; daughters Lynn Hill (Damian) of East Lansing, MI; and Jolette Lenz (Mark) of Adams, TN. She is also survived by grandchildren Ashley Ayers ( Justin); Brittiny Bowers (Tyson); Liam Hill; Lauren Hill; Brienna Aszli; Matt Lenz; and David Lenz. She is also blessed with a great granddaughter Heather Lenz. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by brothers Joseph, Daniel, Michael Chudyk and a sister Julie Hoffman.
