Jimmy Wayne Black, age 71 of Clarksville passed away on Saturday August 22, 2015 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He was born Sept. 26, 1943 in Wayne County, MI, the son of the late Elbie "E.C." Black and Delma Denton Black.
He was employed at Trane Corporation for 42 years retiring as Superintendant.
Jimmy is survived by his wife Virginia Suggs Black to whom he married on November 28, 1963 in Clarksville. He is also survived by twin sons Jeff Black and Jerry Black both of Clarksville; and three brothers, Bobby Black (Judy), Eddie Black, and Terry Black; and two sisters, Joyce Peterson and Shirley Hatfield (Joe); all of Clarksville. He is also survived by one grandson, Spenser Black of Seattle.
Memorial services will be conducted on Tuesday September 1, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Excell Baptist Church, 328 Excell Road, Clarksville with Brother Terrell Marcom officiating. Visitation with the family from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services.
