James William Smith

James William Smith, age 68, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Wednesday October 27, 2021 at Tennova Healthcare in Clarksville.  He was born September 30, 1953 in Clarksville, the son of the late James Oakley Smith and Dorothy Imogene Patterson Hibbard.  He loved cars, watching old movies, and football, especially the Pittsburg Steelers.  He will be missed by many.  He is survived by four sisters, Jan Rooker of Lynnville, TN, Debbie Barnes of Clarksville, TN, Bonnie Harris of Clarksville, TN, and Carrol Blackburn.  He is also survived by a brother Tim Smith of Clarksville.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother Edward Hibbard and a sister Bonnie Hibbard.  There are no public funeral services planned at this time.  Arrangements are under the care of Gateway Funeral Home and Cremation Center  335 Franklin Street  Clarksville, TN  37040.  Phone 931-919-2600.  Online condolences may be made by going to www.gatewayfh.com.
