James H. Van Over

James H. Van Over age 83 of Clarksville, passed away on Tuesday April 10, 2018 at his residence. He was born July 22, 1934 in Harlan County, KY the son of the late William Van Over and Anna Miller Van Over. James served his country in the US Air Force for over 20 years. He was highly decorated and served in Korea and Vietnam, retiring as a Senior Master Sergeant. Following his time in the military he worked for several years in management at motel properties. He is survived by his daughter Patricia Van Over-Indictor of Los Angeles, CA; and a son Steven Lee Van Over of Irvine, CA; sisters Betty Jane Collins of Knoxville, TN; and Penny Lynn Young of S. Carolina. Also surviving are 3 grandchildren Kristopher Lee Van Over; James H. Van Over III; and Lee Van Over. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Betty Marie McPeek Van Over who passed in 2015; and two sons Michael and James H. Van Over II; as well as a brother Jack Van Over.
