James Irvin Mercer

James Irvin Mercer, age 22, of Nashville, TN passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2020. He was born on July 9, 1997 in Clarksville, TN to David Mercer and Maria Outlaw. James loved listening to music and enjoyed watching the Fast & Furious movies. He loved cars. He was a very friendly and outgoing people person who loved to laugh.

Left to cherish his memories are his parents, David and Talesha Butler Mercer, and Maria Outlaw; siblings, Ellijah Mercer, Tyesha Butler, La'Azia Jones, and Miracle Butler; aunts, Mary "Missy" (John) Tuller, Lolena Stacker, Elizabeth Outlaw, Marlena Hagewood; grandmother, Brenda Outlaw; great-aunt, Wanda Gray; uncles, Erasure Outlaw and Will Thomas Stacker; host of cousins.

He is preceded in death by his uncle, John Mercer; and grandmothers, Veronica Mercer and Lola Hagewood.

A funeral service for James will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at Gateway Funeral Home at 3:00 P.M. with a visitation beginning at 1:00 P.M. until the time of the service.
