James Edwin "Jimmy" Earhart

James Edwin "Jimmy" Earhart age 59 of Palmyra, passed away from natural causes at his home. He was born September 17, 1956 in Clarksville, TN, the son of the late Richard Edwin Earhart and the late Elsie Margurite Burkhart Earhart. Jimmy is a 1974 graduate of Northwest High School and attended Austin Peay State University. He later graduated with a B.S. degree in business from the University of Maryland. He worked for several years as an accountant. Jimmy served in the U.S. Air Force from 1978 until 1981. While at Austin Peay he was a member of the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity. He is a member of the Dotsonville Church of Christ.

Jimmy is survived by his brothers, Tony David Earhart & wife Eva of Nolensville; Phillip Mark Earhart & wife Monica of Dickson, TN; Sisters, Shirley Jean Henson & husband Crawford of Shelbyville, TN; and Rachel Margurite Story & husband Danny of Dickson, TN. He is also survived by a niece, Brooke Earhart Chibarro and nephews James Remington, Christopher Remington, Nathan Story, Spencer Earhart, Brian Story, and Caleb Earhart.

Jimmy's request was to be cremated. Memorial services will be conducted on Saturday January 9, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at the Chapel of Gateway Funeral Home. Burial of Jimmy's cremated remains will be in Wilee's Chapel Cemetery in Woodlawn, TN where military honors will be conducted. Friends and family may visit at the funeral home from 11:00 am until the time of services.
