Ida Mae Kate Sebree, age 75, of Clarksville, TN passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, June 27, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was born October 27, 1948 in Chapmansboro, TN to the late Isaiah M. Head Sr., and Nervian Darden Head.
During her early years, Ida attended Burt High School. She professed her love for Christ and accepted Him as her Lord and Savior at a young age. She worked at ACME Boot Company for several years. Aside from work, Ida faithfully attended New Hope Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Vernon L. Harbin, where she served on the Mother's Board, Usher Board, and attended church every Sunday that her health allowed. In her free time, Ida enjoyed watching Western TV shows, listening to Smokey Robinson's music, and her favorite church song, "Speak To Me". Most of all, Ida loved spoiling her grandchildren and other people's children. She was a kindhearted person who never met a stranger. She made friends with many that she encountered, including her loving caregivers.
In addition to her parents, Ida is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Sammie Lee Sebree Sr.; her siblings: Wayne Head, Jesse Head, Soul Head, John Head, Ed Head, Isaiah Head Jr, Maggie Head, and Loretta Head.
Left to cherish her memories are her children, Shirley Head and Sammy Sebree Jr (Olivia); grandchildren: Samuel Thomas Willis III (Amanda), Antwon Willis, Da'Cyla J. Sebree; great-grandchildren, Samuel Thomas Willis IV, and Carson Ewing; her brother, James Otha Head; her sister, Vanessa Wells, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving relatives.
