Helen Martin Turner

Helen Martin Turner, age 88 of Franklin, TN passed away on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at Williamson Medical Center in Franklin, TN after a brief illness. She was born March 17, 1933 in Williamson County, TN to the late Horace Martin and Maud Nichols Martin.

Helen began her working career at National Life Insurance Company in Nashville, TN; a job that she truly loved. After her marriage, she was a stay-at-home mom to her two daughters. What her daughters remember most is the love and support that she provided during those years. She had various jobs later in life including being a realtor at Coldwell Banker in Clarksville, TN. She was also a property manager at Northwoods Apartments.

Helen was the youngest of seven children. She was a natural caregiver to all, including her parents, several of her older siblings, and her husband, John of 62 years until his death in 2019.

Her loving spirit, kind heart, and compassionate nature were a blessing to all who came in contact with her.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Laura (Mark) McGill of Franklin, Lisa (Lynn) Newkirk of Colorado; grandchildren, Kayla (Tyler) Rogers, Megan (Joseph) Roberts, Casey and Randy Newkirk, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, a random act of kindness would best honor her memory as she was such a compassionate soul.

A Celebration of Life Open House will be planned to honor her memory at a later date.
