Reverend George (Johnny) E. Williams was born to the late Edd Sr. and Willie Lee Williams on May 31st, 1933 in Birmingham, AL. He was devoted to God from an early age and that devotion would prove to be his lifelong legacy as he graduated from Southeastern Bible College in 1985, and went on to serve in ministry for the next 35 years.
Johnny was blessed with a large family and was the youngest male of 5 siblings (Edd Williams Jr, Dorthy Brown (Williams), James Williams, and Mary Scott (Williams) who all preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his daughter Linda Daniels (Williams), grand-daughter Shakitta Samuel (Williams), and grand-son Johnny Jr. Nieces and nephews Angela Brown, Vickie-Ann Brown, Ronnie Brown, and Victor Brown Jr.
He is currently survived by his children Brenda McDaniel, Darryl Keels (Lisa), India Abernathy (William), Johnny Williams (Cherise), Kwaysee Williams (Chris), and the extended Muse and Hardy family. Johnny was blessed with 18 grandchildren and many great, and great-great-grandchildren. We would also like to acknowledge his many beloved nieces and nephews that held a very special place in his heart.
A memorial service will be held at Gateway Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. with visitation beginning at 12:30 P.M. until the time of service.
