George G Rhodes

George G. Rhodes age 88 of Clarksville, passed away on Saturday July 21, 2018 at his residence. He was born December 6, 1929 in Piedmont, Alabama, the son of the late James Rhodes and Eldis Hart Remington. George served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He served over 20 years and was active during the Vietnam War. Following his military service he was employed with South Central Bell and AT & T for over 20 years. He retired as a test desk technician. George was a lover of the outdoors and enjoyed birds and wildlife. He is survived by daughters Donna Bryant (Jim); Patricia Quinerly (Scott) Sandra Rhodes; a son Wayne Rhodes; and a sister Carolyn Spell. Also surviving are grandchildren Katelyn Seymour (Chris), Jonathan Bryant, Kevin Bryant, Jennifer Dootson, Joshua Hogan, Reed Quinerly, Ryan Quinerly, Eric Hewitt, and Shawn Rhodes. Also surviving are great grandchildren Logan Hickman, Will Hickman, Kayla DeWolf, Cory Rhodes, Lydia Rhodes, Savannah Rhodes, and Michael Rhodes. In addition to his parents, George is preceded in death by his wife Mary Rhodes, a brother James Rhodes, and a close companion Evelyn Boshears. Family services with military honors will be held on Saturday August 4, 2018 at 2:00 P.M.at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
