Garrett Tyler Baker, age 32 of Stewart, TN passed away unexpectedly Saturday, January 1, 2022 at Tristar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN. Garrett was born in Lane County, OR to Ben Baker and Lori Denney.
Garrett Baker was special.
Not ordinary-special, but extraordinary.
He spent his life in search of answers, to all the spiritual questions he ever had. He NEVER met a stranger. He felt some of the best conversations he ever had, were with people society had given up on. Garrett would share his love of Jesus with anyone who would sit and talk with him. He constantly was trying to come up with ways to employ of give service to those in need. In other words, he exemplified his Lord and Savior.
Garrett sought Jesus every single day, on his good and his bad days. He lived the best life he could through family, nature, love, compassion, and kindness.
Anyone who knew Garrett, knew his passion was to know God and live a life in his name, while helping others to know him as well. Garrett will be missed so much by many he encountered. We have no doubt that he was welcomed with arms wide open. We are going to miss him so much. Cannot wait until the reunion we have in heaven!!
“Bubba we miss and love you so much. We are so blessed to have been able to make this journey called life with you. We are so proud of the man you have become here on earth. We know the number one thing you wanted was to live a life of God, so you can one day be there in Heaven with so many loved ones. Fly High Baby Brother “Bubba”. We will see you when we get there. I love you to infinity and beyond. Send messages when you can.” -Jessica

“Garrett…. A man who found what he was always searching for, His Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. No matter what life brought his way, he would always see things with the glass half full. Garrett was an encourager even despite of any challenges. He was a walking testimony to the power of unconditional love. A man that will be missed. I am so thankful for the memories and the example he walked out. Have fun partying with Jesus until I see you again little cousin.”-Cousin S.
