Ernest Wilson III

Ernest Wilson III, age 68, of Clarksville, TN passed away at his residence in Clarksville on Monday December 17, 2018 following an extended illness. Ernest entered this life on November 22, 1950 in North Fork, VA, the son of the late Ernest Wilson Jr. and Sarah Turner Wilson Clardy. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Annie Ogburn and his grandson Erik Wilson Jr. Ernest served in the US Army and received an honorable discharge. He is a proud graduate of historic Burt High School class of 1968 and a graduate of Austin Peay State University in 1975. His survivors include his sons, Ernest Wilson IV and Erik Wilson (Jan) from his marriage to Sherry Wilson Henderson, his former wife; a devoted sister Sarah Clardy Johnson. He has four grandchildren, two nephews, and a devoted aunt Lucille Young. A memorial service is planned for Sunday December 23, 2018 at 1:30 P.M. at the site of the Burt High School. There will be a service of remembrance to follow at 2:00 P.M. conducted by the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity. The family would like to thank all of Ernest's friends for their help prayers and kind words. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Burt High Scholarship Fund, class of 1968 or the Cancer Society.
