Edward O'Neal Summers, Sr.

Edward O'Neal Summers, Sr. , age 61, of Clarksville, TN passed away on Saturday July 25, 2020 at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville, TN. He was born on September 29, 1958 in Toledo, OH to the late Ben Summers, Jr. and Naomi Griffin Summers. Edward worked in Production for Hankook Tires. Apart from work, he enjoyed riding motorcycle trikes, coaching football, and spending time with his family.

Edward's memory will forever be cherished by his loving wife of 39 years, China Summers; children, Freeman Johnson (Shamel), Edward O'Neal Summers, Jr. (Dana), and Terrance Summers (Lauren); siblings, Ben Summers, Jr. (Olivia), Ester Mosley (Phillip) and Jean Summers Johnson; 9 grandchildren, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, Edward is preceded in death by his sister, Edna Arnett; nephews, William "Bill" Raby and Preston Arnett, and a niece, Phyllis Mosley.

A memorial service for Edward will be conducted on Sunday, August 2, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at Gateway Funeral Home. A visitation will begin at 1:00 P.M. until the time of service.
