Edward Lee Adkins Jr.

Edward Lee Adkins Jr., age 78 of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Monday January 11, 2021 at Tennova Healthcare in Clarksville.  He was born December 5, 1942 in Erin, TN, the son of the late Edward Lee (Jack) Adkins, Sr. and Dorothy Lee Adkins.  Edward graduated from High School in Houston County and attended Austin Peay State University.  He worked for many years in the real estate business in the Clarksville area.  He was an appraiser for 27 years as well as the owner of Clarksville Real Estate and Auction where he was an auctioneer.  He was a long time member of the Clarksville Rotary Club and had served as the club president.  He is a member of Clarksville Masonic Lodge # 89.  Edward was devoted to his wife and family and he enjoyed people and was known for his sense of humor.  Survivors include his wife Relda Ann Austin Adkins of Clarksville; his daughter Rebecca Diane Myers of Clarksville; his sons Edward Lee Adkins III (Lisa) of Clarksville; and Timothy Brian Adkins (Christine) of Clarksville.  He is also survived by his sister Martha Annette Short of Clarksville and eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.  Funeral services will be conducted on Friday January 15, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at Gateway Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be for the hour prior to services at the funeral home.  Arrangements are under the care of Gateway Funeral Home and Cremation Center  335 Franklin Street  Clarksville, TN. 37040.  Phone 931-919-2600.  Online condolences may be made by going to www.gatewayfh.com.
