Eddie Lawrence Kilgore

Eddie Lawrence Kilgore, age 82, of Clarksville, TN passed away on June 4, 2014 at Grace Healthcare in Clarksville. Mr. Kilgore, a lifelong resident of Montgomery County, was born March 16, 1932 to the late John W., Sr. and Lizzie M. Freeman Kilgore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Flora L. Williams Kilgore; brother, John W. Kilgore; and sister Birdie M. Kilgore.

He was a self-employed farmer, and factory worker at State Stove in Ashland City. Mr. Kilgore was a member of the Cabin Row Missonary Baptist Church.

He is survived by two sons, Eddie L. Kilgore, Jr. of Peachtree City, GA; George W. Kilgore of Tiptonville, TN; and one daughter,Carrie Williams (Kenny)Kendrick of Clarksville. He has two grandchildren, Robert Kendrick IV, and Hannah Elizabeth Kendrick of Clarksville.

Visitation with the Kilgore family will be Sunday, June 8th, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Gateway Funeral Home. On Monday, his remains will be conveyed to the Cabin Row Missionary Baptist Church in Southside where funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. by Pastor James E. Trotter and Elder Kenny Kendrick. Visitation at the church will begin at noon and continue until time of service. Interment will follow services in the Cabin Row Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
