Dorothy Jean Sinks

Dorothy Jean Sinks, age 86 of Clarksville, passed away on Saturday December 26, 2015 at the Clarksville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born January 6, 1929 in Montgomery County, the daughter of the late Herman Yarbrough and Grace Davis Yarbrough. She is a graduate of Montgomery Central High School, a member of the Locust Grove Presbyterian Church and was a homemaker.

Mrs. Sinks is survived by a son Keith Sinks of Clarksville; daughters Brenda Vogle & husband L.C. of Allansville, KY; Vivian Christman & husband Henry of Clarksville; a brother Charles Yarbrough of Cunningham and a sister Marie Schaeffer of Clarksville; as well as three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband James Calvin Sinks Jr. who passed away in 2002. She is also preceded in death by a sister Helen Hollingsworth.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday December 28, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Gateway Funeral Home. Burial will be in Center Point Cemetery in Van Leer. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services on Monday.
