Dorothy Denise "Neasie" Ervin

Dorothy Denise “Neasie” Ervin, age 48, of Clarksville, TN passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2022, at Tennova Healthcare in Clarksville, TN. She was born on June 2, 1974, in Indianapolis, IN to Preston and Nettie Mayo Hunter. She previously resided in Indiana with her family before moving to Clarksville. Dorothy has many hobbies including cooking, traveling the world, reading, partying, and listening to music, particularly Jazz and Hip Hop. She loved going to cookouts and shopping. She also enjoyed socializing with her family and friends. 

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, DeMarcus Ervin; children, Quanesia Hoskins of Clarksville, TN, De’Antre Hoskins of Detroit, MI, Kevon Hoskins of Detroit, MI, Ja’Quez Moss of Clarksville, TN, Keshonda Hoskins of Clarksville, TN, Keshon Hoskins of Clarksville, TN, and Marco Hoskins of Detroit, MI; step-children, Iysis Amya Ervin, JazzLynn Lalini Ervin; siblings, Angela Hoskins of Clarksville, TN, Ruth Hoskins of Clarksville, TN, and Shaunikka (Antonio) Williams of TX, and Jerome (Christy) Mayo of KY, 1 grandchild, Khazair Hoskins; mother-in-law, Linda Faye Young; aunts, Mary Alice Brown, Eula Mae Mayo, Sara Mayo, Elaine Moss-Carr, Janice Marie Killins, Wanda Graves, and Wanda Kay Butts; uncles, Theodore Mayo, Bert Q. Mayo, Willie Lee Mayo, Jr., Carl Lewis Mayo, Douglas Killins, Thomas McGregor, Jr., and Michale Reeves, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her grandparents, Dorothy Jean Moss King and Willie Mayo, Sr.

A funeral service will be held at Gateway Funeral Home on Thursday, September 29, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. Visitation will be private to the immediate family. Burial will follow after the service at Rossview Cemetery in Clarksville, TN.
