Donald Ray Hensley

Donald Ray Hensley, age 55, of Clarksville, TN went to be with Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday August 14, 2019. Donny was at home happy and at peace surrounded by his loving family. Donny was born on February 19, 1964 in Nashville, TN to the late James and Virginia Hensley. Donny was an amazingly talented man of all trades! He did a variety of home improvements like roofing, guttering, siding, etc. He also did mechanic work, ran a self-owned lawn mowing service, security officer, line foreman, self contractor-built houses from the ground up. Everyone that Donny worked for loved and adored him beyond measure. Donny never met a stranger. He would talk to them like he had known them forever. Donny was an amazing husband and father. Donny loved family time. Anytime Donny's grandkids called him "Pappy" his heart just beamed with such happiness and pride. Donny was proud to be a child of God and servant of the Lord. Left to cherish Donny's precious memory is his loving wife Connie Hensley of Clarksville, TN; daughters Kimberly Hensley Edwards of Clarksville, TN and Jessica Hensley of Clarksville, TN; son Donald Hensley Jr. (Lisa) of Clarksville, TN; five grandchildren, Wyatt Edwards, Madelyn Hensley, Jacob Hensley, Ryker Hensley, and another grandson on the way. Donny also has a brother in Christ Jim Hefley (Carolyn) of Clarksville, TN. Donny and Jim adopted each other as brothers. Donny also had many cousins.

Donny loved his family and grandchildren more than anything. Donny and Connie fell in love at first sight and cherished each other from the time they met at 14 and 18 years old and are the love of each other's lives always and forever!
