Don Wilson Brown

Don Wilson Brown age 72 of Oak Grove, KY, passed away on Wednesday December 18, 2019 at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville, KY. Don was born August 3, 1947 in Todd County, KY the son of the late Casey Wilson Brown and Hazel Elizabeth Lyle Brown. Don is a 1967 graduate of Clarksville High School. In his early years he was known for his baseball skill, especially his fastball. He played major league baseball, eventually becoming a pitcher with the Minnesota Twins. He later worked in the construction and building trades for many years. He attended Oak Grove Baptist Church and was known for his kindness and generosity. He is survived by a brother Neal Brown of Clarksville; sisters Peggy Spaulding of Louisville, KY, and Gail Totten of Huntington, WVA; as well as two grandchildren Lillian and Nora. In addition to his parents, Don is preceded in death by a daughter Casey Brown Karau. In keeping with Don's wishes, there will be no public funeral services.
