Diane Janene George

Diane Janene George, age 63, of Clarksville, TN, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2021 at Tennova Healthcare in Clarksville.  Diane was born February 17, 1958 in Louisville, KY.  She graduated from MTSU with a degree in Aerospace engineering.  She received her pilot’s license and had intended to join the Air Force.  Instead she moved with her family to Clarksville and went to work at Orgain Ready Mix.  She became the office manager and continued to work there for 41 years.  She was friend to many and a beloved daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother.  She is preceded in death by her parents, John H. Buthje Jr. and Doris M. Buthje, as well as her brothers Brent E. Buthje and John H. Buthje III.  She is survived by her children Jamie A. Stanfill and Courtney A. Prewitt (Jimmy) and a grandson Jason H. Stanfill.  Memorial services will be conducted on Wednesday December 8, 2021 at 5:00 PM at Gateway Funeral Home.  Visitation will be from 3:00 PM until the time of services.  Arrangements are under the care of Gateway Funeral Home and Cremation Center  335 Franklin Street  Clarksville, TN 37040.  Phone 931-919-2600.  In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Humane Society or the local animal shelter of your choice.
