Derek Wayne Dotson

Derek Wayne Dotson of Clarksville, TN passed away on Thursday, June 24, 2021. Derek was born on November 25, 1967 in Clarksville, TN to parents Barbara Papke Dotson and Bobby Dotson. He is survived by his father, Bobby (Mary Ann) Dotson; son, Danny Dotson; and daughter, Lauren Fourtina.

Derek spent most of his life in the construction industry. He had a passion for creating and the skill and ingenuity for building things. But most of all, he enjoyed the satisfying gratification of the completed works. He especially loved to use this as a gift or help for someone else.

We will all remember Derek's bright smile, selfless giving heart, and fierce friendship.

A visitation will be held at Gateway Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 beginning at 4:00 P.M. and ending at 8:00 P.M. Pastor John Mark Thomas will be officiating. 

Our broken hearts will forever feel the emptiness of his absence.
