Delores Edyth (Ramey) Westbrook was born on the 20th of May, 1933 in Southside, TN (Montgomery County) to the late Herschel and Theo Ramey; both of whom preceded her in death.
She was the fifth child born out of ten from that union. Her brothers, Walter Edward (Ramey), William Herschel, Billy Joe, Henry Howard (Hank), and Thomas Buford (BeBe) and her sisters Dorthy Stewart Mary Dell Reed, and Ava Nell Braddock; her daughter, Keeble Bradley, and her granddaughter, Keshia Ramey – all preceded her in death.
Delores lived a devoted life as a child and confessed Christ at an early age at Cabin Row Baptist Church in Tennessee. Delores attended school in Montgomery County and graduated from Burt High School. She dutifully worked at Vulcan Materials for 20+ years until her retirement. She continued to work as a surrogate in the foster grandparents program until illness did not allow her to do so anymore. Delores was a faithful member of Mt. Olive MBC, under the leadership and direction of Dr. David Allen.
Delores leaves to cherish a lifetime of memories, her loving Family: Her sister Mary Boyd (Linda) of Clarksville, TN; two sons, Michael Ramey of Clarksville and Derwin Westbrook of Florida. Also left to cherish her memory are her five granddaughters, Terrace Campbell (Charles) of Clarksville, Dequintous Trenace Baxter (Eric) of Atlanta, Ga, Christina Marshall of Chattanooga, Danielle Phillips (Florida), and four grandsons: Demarius Westbrook, Isaiah Westbrook, Leroy Dunkley, and Collin Phillips; Six Great Grandchildren, and a loving support network of Nieces and Nephews, cousins, extended family, acquaintances, and friends. Delores Edyth Westbrook transitioned from this life on the 14th of September, 2020, and will be missed by all.
A memorial service for Delores will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2020, at 11:00 A.M. at Gateway Funeral Home with Dr. David D. Allen officiating.
