David Eugene Bivins, Sr.

David Eugene Bivins, Sr., age 64, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2024. He was born on September 21, 1959, in LaGrange, GA, to Betty Jean Bivins and John William Eugene Bivins.

David attended LaGrange High School, class of 1979, and was a veteran of the United States Army. He was an electrical foreman, who loved his work and teaching the trade to others. David enjoyed rooting on the Georgia Bulldogs, Nascar races on Sundays, a medium-rare steak, but most of all, Harley rides with his soulmate of over twenty years, Dawn Long. 

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Dawn Long; son, David Bivins, Jr.; daughter, Holly Maher (John); step-daughter, Jasmin Vaughn; his grandchildren, Hannah Maher, Eva Bivins, John “Nolan” Maher, Harper Maher, and Hadley Maher; his great-grandson, Roman; and sister, Darlene Bivins-Cooley (Jerry), mother to his nieces Nikki, Jordan, and Kaitlin; mans-best-friends, Bocephus and Carlotta, and Kiki the Cat; and many more loving extended relatives. David is preceded in death by his father, John Bivins; mother, Betty Bivins; brother, Danny Bivins; and beloved first grandson, Matthew Maher. 

A memorial celebration and ride to honor David’s life will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at Scooter's Pub and Grill, located at 2458 Hwy 41A Byp, Clarksville, TN 37043.
